The agreement aims to develop the relationship and cooperation with the press freedom institutions. 
More than 200 participants and media representatives from 40 different countries attended the congress and exchanged knowledge and ideas in different event and sessions. 

The Congress held under the slogan “Building Alliances for Independent Media” managed to raise awareness of the threats and challenges that independent journalism faces around the world and, most importantly, it sent a clear message that stable democracies cannot exist without building strong alliances between the press and the public, jointly defending quality media.  
At the end of the Congress, the general assembly demanded the release of the detained journalists, the suspension of closing the newspaper, the blocking of websites and the suppression of press freedom.
