Al-Araby Al-Jadeed and Al Araby TV provided a media partnership for The Doha International Conference on Disability and Development organized by Qatar Social Work at Qatar Convention Center.

The Conference brought together UN Deputy Secretary – General and representative of international and regional organizations, civil society, governments and private sector. 
DiCDD ended with the announcement of The “Doha Declaration” which is the core reference point internationally for policy development and advancing human rights and sustainable social development in the context of disability for people with disability. It is a call to consolidate and streamline the nexus between the UN SDGs and UN CRPD based on the co-production of social policy between civil society and governments to reach meaningful structural change to achieve inclusive equality. 
On the sideline of the Conference, Al–Araby Al–Jadeed conducted an interview with the CEO of Qatar Social Work, Amal al Mannai, who declared that, the “Doha Declaration” is the fruit of the International Conference on Disability and Development. She hopes it will convince all parties that combining the inclusion of the rights of people with disability in the sustainable development plans is achievable, calling the governments to take into account in their legislation, law and policies the rights of people with disability to education, health, employment and urban planning, etc.
